My Robot Friend + Alison Moyet

My Robot Friend’s new single features none other than Alison Moyet of Yazoo/Yaz (depending on which side of the pond you reside) fame. “Waiting” was originally feature on the robot’s 2009 album Soft-Core but has been given a new life with remixes from Juan MacLean, Kingdom, Solvent, Alex Smoke and My Robot Friend himself. The track itself sounds like it was lifted straight from the 80′s and could’ve been played at Andie Walsh’s prom. But at the same time it’s fresh, not a throwback, as the instrumental itself plays a weird juxtaposition against Moyet’s vocals.
