Carla Morrison

I had the great surprise and luck to catch the wonderful Carla Morrison playing at a show here in San Diego. I had never heard of her before and had no idea what to expect. Everyone was talking around and having their drinks, when out of nowhere we hear claps and an old school casio. It wasn’t until this amazing heavenly voice came out through the speakers that the room got completely silent. She’s from Mexico and rarely hits the states, but I have a feeling this is going to change. I was completely blown away by the talent this fairy like girl possessed and I’m sure she’s going to be heard from again. Reminding me of a Mexican Feist or Joanna Newsom, this girl has it all going for her.

She has an EP out already and is working on her next EP which seems to be a little more uplifting than the last. I had to beg her to let us post something on the site and she agreed as long as they were posted for listening only. Go buy her music and give her some love.
