I have to tell you. I have refused to listen to Penguin Prison for quite some time now just based on the fact that it is the worst artist name of all time. But today, being a lazy Sunday afternoon, I accidentally listened to some Penguin Prison (egad) and actually liked it. Call it green eggs and ham syndrome. Regardless, Penguin Prison’s (ugh) pop sensibilities roped me in. Perhaps a bit posey but it’s a winner track.

I’m still standing by the assertion that Death Cab for Cutie is the worst band name of all time. Penguin Prison is pretty abominable, too, though. I’m almost bummed that the music is pretty good, but it’s pretty unlikely that I’ll ever be induced to say to a friend, “Have you heard that new Penguin Prison remix?” Ew.
