“We All Wanna Be Prince” may be Felix da Housecat’s catchiest single since “Silver Screen Shower Scene” — but the video, ugh, the video. I can’t put my finger on why, but it makes me wanna crawl outta my skin. At first I was like “ew, Perez’s bare chest” but then realized it wasn’t just that. Party videos can be fun, should be fun, but it’s like this one is trying too much. Like, let’s throw some models in a dark room with graffiti and ask them to dirty dance and lick each other. And then cut to a cute couple in front of an Austin skyline because obvs that is totally fetch. I can live with the amateurish quality, but the final product is formulaic and trite.
