Memory Cassette

Memory Cassette recently released “Call & Response” on Acephale/Sincerely Yours… the release features four must have tracks that’ll complete your Summer 2009 soundtrack. The physical copy is sold out but you might be able to still grab a copy in select stores or, of course, digitally — purchase links here.

Coming very, very soon is “Calls & Responses” (the follow-up remix ep). For you we have the premiere of the Shadow Self (formerly Tuxedomask) cover version of “Surfin” which features vocals by Holly Dodson of Parallels. This version is a lot less filtered than the original and puts the emphasis on the vocals and lyrics. Even so, Shadow Self still manages to capture the dreaminess of the original.
