Another winning video from our friends over at Moop Jaw — Qua’s “Goodmorning Sun” is a surrealistic run that’ll make you wanna strip down.

Second video from Miike Snow off their very celebrated self-titled debut. Miike Snow is a band not a white rapper. So if you’ve been dismissing Miike Snow for the latter assumption then give them a try because you’ll be surprised. Just saying.
Just noticed for the first time “Animal” isn’t spelled “Aniimal.”
Time to do the shuffle with The Aston Shuffle’s new video for “Do You Want More” featuring Danimal Kingdom — production by Moop Jaw.

Another stellar remix from Disco Bloodbath — this time for Little Boot’s new single “Remedy.” Disco Bloodbath pushes out a remix that is a little less Lady Gaga and takes Boots back to her indie club roots. Basically RedOne’s bombastic production is totally stripped away, and you’re left with something a bit more straight forward. [...]

Peaches – “Serpentine”
Peaches delivers another new video from I Feel Cream — “Serpentine” is directed by Price James, who is proving to be the king of the performance videos (Price James tangent, but am I the only one who thinks Florence (and the Machines) looks like a Peaches sibling?). Anyway. Watching Peaches strip down to [...]
Re-up due to deadline in a few days:
Lilofee, the San Francisco band known to rock the stage, is getting a remix contest together for their single “Destroy Me”. These guy are some of the nicest guys in town and have been pushing Bay Area music for quite sometime. They have some neat prizes for you [...]
Delphic is back with the much anticipated follow-up to their stand out first single “Counterpoint.” Expect “This Momentary” out the end of August on Kitsuné with remixes from Parallels, Radioproof, Le Matos and Golden Bug. As expected, Golden Bug leads Delphic in a totally different direction — the band’s original atmospheric pulse is sucked out [...]

Friendly Fires – “Kiss of Life”
Friendly Fires can do no wrong. Major song, major video. But woah watch out for the moose knuckle, ohmigod…
We introduced you to The Time & Space Machine last month with “Children Of The Sun” — well, Richard Norris is back with a new remix for Bastila new single, “Ghosts”. The cowbell sequence sounds like “The Hustle” which has huge potential to sound cheesy but it’s pulled off well. Summer of love is the [...]

Memory Cassette recently released “Call & Response” on Acephale/Sincerely Yours… the release features four must have tracks that’ll complete your Summer 2009 soundtrack. The physical copy is sold out but you might be able to still grab a copy in select stores or, of course, digitally — purchase links here.
Coming very, very soon [...]
Fare Soldi my favorite party Italians are back with another exclusive mix. I can’t get enough of these guys, apart from always sending some fun material they provided some fun t-shirts for us to give away with this mix. Send a little quote about why you love BigStereo so much and how you heard about [...]

Bag Raiders – “Shooting Stars”
Bag Raider’s “Shooting Stars” finally has a video to accompany the track. Looks like someone was spending too much time playing the Sims. Kind of a cheesy video but the song is still the jam so whatever.
Welcome VISITOR. Their first song “Los Feeling” reaches almost cringe worthy heights but is so uplifting and contagious that you’ll forgive and forget any faults. So big it sounds like U2 making a dreamwave track minus all the Bono-obnoxiousness. And yeah, this is one of those tracks that is begging for remixes. Begging so much [...]

When I first heard Kid Bombardos’ “I Round the Bend,” a barrage of images flashed through my mind. Here was a beautiful, tranquil song; thus, an avalanche of similarly beautiful, tranquil scenes – open fields on sunny days, fresh powder on a snowy day, Zooey Deschanel anywhere at any time – filled my head. What [...]

Butterfly Bones sent over their new ep which is getting a lot of love from my stereo. The band crafts synth heavy indie pop songs that are so easy to fall for. Lyrically they remind me a bit of Magnetic Fields but do not sound quite as heavy as a Stephin Merritt project… Bones is [...]

Young Brisbane lad Protokol aka Patrick Arnold is a future force to be reckoned with. As a producer he’s playing with every genre. He has been making distorted electro tunes, funk tunes, minimal tunes, you name it hes probably made it. I could talk his music up all day but I may as well just [...]

Passion Pit’s Manners is in place to easily be on just about every top ten list this year, without a doubt. “To Kingdom Come” is the next single and has received video treatment. Look for remixes from Grum and the Juan Maclean.

I’ve been kinda feeling Zémaria’s new album, The Space Ahead. Doesn’t really up the ante much on the genre but the tunes are enjoyable… as far as electro-pop numbers with shades club go, Zémaria is pretty much on target. The title track sums it up:

You may remember Tanlines from their outing on Kitsune Maison 7 or their bouncy, catchy take on TTA’s “A New Chance” — well either way, the Brooklynites are back lending a helping hand to Bombay Bicycle Club’s “Dust on the Ground.” Tanlines takes a similar approach with Bombay Bicycle Club as their previous work — [...]

Sally Shapiro is back with another single this month. It’s conveniently called “Love in July.” Johan Agebjoern has done a magnificent job on production as usual, and Sally’s vocal never disappoints. “Love in July” will be out through Paper Bag Records in North America and Permanent Vacation in Europe. It includes some great remixes by [...]
