The blogs have been ablaze with love for Austin’s VEGA since his first song “All Too Vivid” dropped on the Internet last year. Well, well VEGA is back in full swing with “No Reasons,” the lead off VEGA’s debut Well Known Pleasures EP due May 19th on Vogue College Records.

Tracks in this genre (call it nu-hammer, dreamwave or whatever) often get lost in the neon and failed Miami Vice references, but “No Reasons” succeeds by not only relying on the past but also the present and future. And what really seperates it from the rest is not the layered synth but the big chorus and sing-a-long lyrics. It is so easy to love. I’ve seriously listened to this fifty times on repeat — it has “hit” written all over it.
