Alec Empire
music 15 April 2009 :: posted by Rchrd Oh?!
Alec Empire is back. This time with a new EP called ‘Shivers’. On this EP he works with his hot co-ed Nic Endo and The Big Pink. A little different in style than his general works, this EP stands out as new and refreshing. Always moody, always dark, and always noisy his tracks deliver angst like a rainbow after the rain.
Let’s hope for an Atari Teenage Riot reunion in the next 5 years.

ATR reunion would be sick but Carl Crack died in 2000

Alec has fans in the metal/industrial world who, I understand, would not like this when compared to ATR. He is always moving, changing, evolving and totally fearless in the pursuit of his stylistic goals and I admire his work. I would quite happily buy any new release of his without hearing it first, such is the respect I have for this artist. The old line between techno and punk is so blurry now as to be irrelevant thanks to empire.

I totally agree. Finally someone who understands next to all these reactionists (let’s go back to the old days).

it wouldn’t be a reunion without Carl Crack. as much as i’d love to see ATR live again, it wouldn’t be the same without him.

amazing track!!!
total bullshit to compare his work constantly with ATR and Destroyer.
saw him and Endo live last year and they blew me away.
this guy is probably the only artist right now who is changing and surprising us with new ideas.
want to hear crap? listen to Peaches new album LOL

no it is not bullshit, to thank everyone who supported DHR and still want it we get EYHO shoved down our throats. Put on TERROR ALERT and tell me you want to hear EYHO crap over that, BULLSHIT! All these people who seem to love EYHO, it’s a lie, I believe a lot of this push about how great everyone loves EYHO is propoganda to get EYHO “over”. EYHO is top 40 all the way. You took the one thing I live for and threw it away. Talk about dicking out, He is talking about success for him thru EYHO and how he doesn’t care what anyone thinks, by definition he already has sold out.

this has more balls than the new EMINEM track
BALLS!
Alec is amazing live. Saw him 3 times so far. Always different and exciting.
Cousin of mine saw him play in Munich supporting Nine Inch Nails, and he was so loud, Reznor had the PA turned down.
Alec Empire and Nic Endo are ATR, just without Carl Crack. What’s the problem?
thnx to Big Stereo for postin
