Pete Randy

Pete Randy is the ex-lead singer/guitarist for Belgium band Dandy Boy which, I guess, reached moderate success in its home country. He’s since started doing the solo thing, and it’s a good direction.
Pete Randy’s songs are super saturated and colorful, but at the same time posses a certain sensitivity threaded throughout. Lazy comparisons might put him up against Frankmusik but there’s a uniqueness. The result is lyrical imagery and a poetry beyond just the lyrics:

At the root is pop — and an unexpected gem in an unlikely cover of “Babylon”:

Stunning collage of sounds in a very nicely arranged manner. Shame about the over compression though as it makes it slighly difficult to enjoy fully.
Something very moving about the music, especially like the melodies and the effected (and affected) lead vocal of “Merman.” Nice find.

I’m absolutely in LOVE with these two songs. Love the layers of synth and the electro POP-ness. =) Thank you.
