Rui Maia

Portuguese producer Rui Maia is some what unknown and is the man behind Portuguese band X-Wife. X-Wife is one of my favourite bands and have played alongside the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, The Gossip and the Arctic Monkeys.
Rui includes New Order, Add N to (X) and Suicide amongst his major loves and there are glimpses of them in his band X-Wife.
Rui has a EP and a 12″ collab coming soon. The 12” is with with same town-portuguese producer, Social Disco Club of one of my favourite labels, Mindless Boogie. Social Disco Club & Maia – “The Way You Move”, includes remixes by Greg Wilson, DiskJokke and Chicken Lips. It will be released through Bear Funk Records.
His Cantonese Man EP is out through Untracked Recordings. Rui Maia for president.

Well… I wish the best of luck to Rui & X-Wife, but Cantonese Man is a reprise of a music by David Sylvian/Japan… totally
