Discobot

Discobot’s “Lights Out” is the necessary track as we approach New Years Eve at lightning speed — loud, fast, total party track to lose control to… perhaps totally epic in a 2008 way but brazen enough to bring us into 2009.
Total bonus points for Discobot being from Brazil. You know they know how we do:

My prediction. 2009 = no more bangers. which means 2010 = revival of the bangers. see you in a year.

so the post-banger crowd will reintroduce bangers in a faux ironic retro way, heralding their own post-post-banger scene which itself will be passé before it even begins? so it goes, I suppose.

i think i was sick of bangers 12 months ago. a few snuck in over the past year but seriously been over that shit for a while. kinda public about it. but the “next great thing” never really materialized in 2008 so bangers it was with a little disco and pop sprinkled in between.
i don’t care if bangers are over or what. i don’t care if they’re in style or outta style or ironic or post-ironic or pre-ironic or for the under 21 crowd or the aoki crowd or the mainstream crowd or the loser crowd.
i don’t care.
i do care that this is a fucking great track.
