I have to admit it. I didn’t give Alaska In Winter a try because I kept having visions of Sarah Palin. And like most people who think outside their brain stem, I am Sarah Palin outed. So I passed up Alaska In Winter until I came across a file called Berlin.mp3 which I confused for THE Berlin (Metro, No More Word, etc). Anyway. It wasn’t THE Berlin but rather Alaska In Winter’s track called “Berlin.” Fucking fabulous. I’m glad I got over the Sarah Palin thing because this alone makes me like Alaska again… if I ever liked Alaska before…

His album Holiday is pretty sweet… he’s kinda been getting a lot of play with the dingleberry Pitchfork crowd but there is definitely some crossover appeal here for those of us who are more pop/synth orientated.
