Ah, man I have some weird Empire of the Sun issues that I won’t get into now — but I do love how Burns works the track “We Are The People.” Kinda building it up, working it and stretching it and then a little bam and then goes back to teasing before he drops dance floor madness on the song. Yeah, works it up perfect:

as a boy in Word War II Travis was separated from his parents and forced to survive on scraps of food before being interned in a Japanese prison camp. After seeing his fledgling friend shot dead by an American, he was placed in an orphanage and, scarred by the brutality of war, didn’t even recognise his own parents upon their tearful reunion.
