La Roux – “Quicksand” (YouTube)
Ever since I heard Kinga Burza (The Teenagers, Ladyhawke, Kate Perry, etc) had directed La Roux’s debut video for “Quicksand” I have been checking the YouTube DAILY HOURLY for its release. Chronic obsessive behavior for the win… It’s here!! Just in time for the release of “Quicksand” on Kitsune — look for remixes from autoKratz, Beni and Chateau Marmot. They’re all great.
La Roux is being hyped as the next great pop star for ‘09 — but she’s got a little competition from Little Boots. Who do you thinks gonna be on top?

Oh we do love you !
I loved old little boots just her in her bedroom
but the new version of Stuck On Repeat ,
killed it for me
She’s still very talented though
But there’s something so fresh and vibrant about La Roux
and I’m over the moon to hear she’s playing with Lily Allen
I’m going just for Miss jackson
