I think we’ve already declared 2008 the year of Little Boots — at least around these parts. Nothing new I can really say except that we expect big things in 09 for her.

Two remixes landed in our inbox for blog posting recently and seem to be making the blog rounds. The Alexander Robotnick remix was emailed to me months and months ago but I had to pinky swear to not even whisper its existence. In a lot of ways it kinda outweighs the original and has kinda permently replaced the original in my iTunes. But I have to say it seems to only be gaining speed at 8 minutes — kinda wish it was twice as long. And that says a lot since I generally can’t sit through anything longer than four minutes.

Little Boots – “Stuck on Repeat” (Alexander Robotnick remix)

Treasure Fingers mix of “Meddle” has a brilliant pop moment at the end with some added Chromeo-lite vocals. I kinda wish he had dropped his voice low (I assume that is Mr. Fingers on vox?) and done his best Timbaland impersonation — I mean, this is “Meddle” — but it works regardless. Hey, if Little Boots got married to Treasure Fingers then she’d be Little Fingers. Or Little Boots-Fingers. Hm.
