1st of all..the video for this song was made by a friend of ours, bastien lattanzio, without an direction from us. the video he made was about a couple breaking up…that has nothing to do with the song.

2nd

the song was originally titled, sonic youth w/ suicidal tendencies..

named after two of my favorite bands and I FEEL it captures the essence of our generation..self destructive, medicated for one reason or another and still full of limitless dreams and potential.

3rd

the song is about death, death of your childhood dreams, the ones you trade in to fit in better with your peers.. the dreams that society tells us are unattainable.

4th

that is the world i choose not to want to live in the one i was talking about.

and sometimes the world makes me sick to my stomach..i can't think about being here another day longer..

i agree some music should make you feel good and make you want to get up and dance..but, i am fucking sick of dance music.

but, unless you walk in another mans shoes..you really have no idea what the fuck you are talking about..

It seriously looks like the tip of that knife is going for that girl's wrist on the cover of the Switchblade EP. And Digital Suicide does sound like a kinda pretty, haunting sweet suicide anthem. Making suicide taboo as a topic would be completely stupid, though making it sound so pretty to highly impressionable youths is definitely gimmicky.

Okay okay. Maybe it's not fair – even a bit dickish – to call the video pure cheese. The lighting is cool. Love the shout out to Sonic Youth. And you two both look like models.

But what's up? Why not give a little insight into this work instead of such a defensive response.

If you don't let us know a little bit of what your artwork is about, then the world only has the impressions your work leaves to form an opinion.

Lately, this impression seems to include a romanticism of suicide. And that certainly doesn't sound like any of the options that were in any of the Choose Your Own Adventure books I read growing up…

Though that would have been pretty fucking hilarious. And maybe too resonant with the real dangers of the lame cultural void enveloping modern suburban youth and other troubled young folks around the world.

By the way, to quote the petite and often times pretty damn funny Kat Williams: people need to be more thankful for their haters. :)

but izn't heartschallenger also way hypocritical? the lyrics sound like 'stop the world I want to get off". if so, el dorito might have a point. that's pretty corny. for serious.
