Point your attention to NightWaves, part of the LA collective that is calling themselves Binary. They’re promising to bring “the romance back to LA. A little bit less banger, a bit more 80′s, and a lot of great synth work.” Sounds good to me. There is a Valerie-ish aspect to their music that they’re interestingly calling “Dreamwave.” Dreamwave is the best nu-fake genre name I’ve heard in quite a while.
