Ok so I might overuse the term “in love” but I am IN LOVE with Rainbow Arabia right now. This little husband and wife duo from LA pump out a raw EP with DIY punk undertones and attitude blended with an organic gypsy-ness. The way the vocals were recorded remind me of The Glass Candy and the middle eastern influence some what reminds me of MIA. They are really doing something different on their “The Basta” EP and I am excited to hear what they do next cause it seems like they will always be experimenting and not conforming - ummm which sorta reminds me of Chris from the Bumblebeez, maybe they should hook up. Anyways they are touring till the end of October and will “possibly” be touring with the Gang Gang Dance so stay tuned to their myspace.
