eighteen degrees. - “waiting for u”
eighteen degrees. is from Japan and is the sugar high that has been missing from my diet — a bit like French touch through a Tokyo plastic filter. Seriously, I don’t think I could listen to this daily (or even on a regular basis), but it’s so f’ing hyper and sounds like Daft Punk with Hello Kitty helmets… or maybe if Daft Punk and the Vengaboys were locked in a room and forced to record an album together. I dunno:
Ah and since this is the digital age, you can buy eighteen degrees’ Tokyo Boy, Tokyo Girl right now from iTunes. I recommend dropping the ninety nine cents and picking up “WANT YOUR LOVE.”
Ok, and eighteen degrees produced this for an album of children singing pop songs (Madonna, Kylie, etc) — so kinda awful and bizarre. But wonderful. Only in Japan — gotta love it:
