PNAU + Ladyhawke

Hot on the heals of that Falke/Horror “Embrace” remix that caused a mini blog riot is the video for PNAU’s “Embrace” featuring Ladyhawke. It’s a “live” video, which I’m rarely a fan of… but the editing does a good enough job capturing the feeling of the song.

EDIT: aw, a little bit more info on the clip. It was filmed by triple j at One Night Stand which is a contest of sorts for a small town to play host to a big party. ANNNND as pointed out in the comments, that’s Holiday from Bridezilla in the video — with Ladyhawke’s vocals dubbed in.

    It's a bit strange that they've used live footage with Holiday from Bridezilla on vocals, yet it's dubbed with the original Ladyhawke vocals.

    Yeah Ladyhawke couldn't make the concert so they brought along the Bride. It was for a triple j concert in Western Australia. Great shoot. I can't listen to the song without thinking of the footage. Glad they used it.

    good, i'm not losing my mind. i didn't think that was ladyhawke, but kinda weird they put the images and vocals together.

    ladyhawke did a guest vocal for embrace on the pnau record. this song has been out for months and months.

    plus she has her own career going on… toured with soulwax and headline shows in uk and europe.

    getting Holiday was just a poor fill in on their behalf. she did the last tour of aus with them… i'd be embarrassed to stand on a stage, in front of a field of die hard JJJ punters and lip synch along to someone else's song.
