The Real Heat

It’s The Money Shot recently posted up a cover of The Teenager’s “Love No” by The Real Heat and pondered why the Real Heat hasn’t gotten the blog love that they deserve. Perhaps because bloggers are lazy and The Real Heat hasn’t been filling up inboxes? Excuses, excuses… I’ve had them on my to-do list for a year now, and eh, this is the perfect reason to post. Perhaps my favorite part of this cover is the use of the original — like it kinda feels like a conversation between the Teenagers and the Real Heat. Or something.

1. If The Real Heat had a good label working around them they wouldn’t get side stepped or slept on by lazy journalists. Great sound great look. Lets see what they come up with next.

3. I wrote abote these lovely ladies more than a year ago, check ‘Hearts Not Innit’, a wonderful track. but I agree, they should get more recognition!

9. I rarely say this on the internet, but…

   !!!<3!!!

   If you don’t dig this, check one of their original tracks, particularly “Come We Go”.

   I agree though…the vocals here are a little wonky, not to mention that I miss the line about pizza from the original.

15. The Real Heat are getting pure love from all corners of the earth… this song is good but its not their usual kind of thing you need to listen to their grimey rave stuff like ‘hearts not innit’ ‘hotgirl’ ‘intoxicated’ its amazing!
