Son Green

Son Green

There seems to be some cool stuff coming out of Ireland of late. I really like the stuff JAPE has been doing. Son Green has taken his Jape remix the opposite direction in which the other remixes of floating have gone. Son Green’s tunes aren’t really suitable for the club, but I’m really getting into production which is a bit off centre. Everything seems to be sounding the same of late. Son Green certainly doesn’t.

  1. Hey Jad, if you like Son Green’s/Jape’s productions you should check out ‘The Redneck Manifesto’, their band. They’ve been touring Ireland for years, it’s instrumental post-rock shenanigans… good “smoking music” …although I’ve given that up myself.

  2. Yo, there’s loads of great stuff coming from Ireland that’s all directly related. Like you said, it may not be for the Club but really amazing tunes with exciting and exploratory sounds. The Redneck Manifesto, Somadrone, Jape, Cochon and on…, Technical Difficulties, Dublin Guitar Quartet etc….. Check out their friends on myspace to check it all out!!
