  1. do you really, really, really?

    then you don’t know shit.

What a tragic mess of a remix with absolutely no purpose, fucking up the song and rearranging it without any clue of where to go and no intention except to ‘remix’. Youth is not an excuse.

They cite Human League as an influence? Phil would be ashamed

  2. you should check out Damage’s remix of that track.

  3. youth?

    i liked it

  4. dude this is a good remix. i love christopher robin. they are not only the best dudes in the world, they are also really fucking fun to watch.

is it me or is Jad getting a lot of hate? im really loving everything he has posted. dont let the haters get you down Jad maaaan. they just wish they were writing for Big Stereo too.

Travis is totally with me on this one i know it.

  5. big ups tranter good luck on the world tour mate. I’m not worried. Always a lot of opinionated people in blog land (people will even diss this comment) I actually thought I was getting heaps of love ha ha…. Basically I like the facts that you don’t z l o t y rearranging without a clue? no clue where to go? lets all go out a remix a song with the same format/structure everyone else does! YAY! To be clear I don’t really like the original. I guess this is where our taste differs…….

  6. haha…ouch!
where were we going with this remix?
    what was our purpose?
maybe we should have tried to end world hunger with this remix?
maybe we are just too young to understand?
when will we be old enough?
will phil be waiting for us in heaven to send us to hell for our sinful inluences?

  7. i’ve liked his posts. that’s all that matters (haha).

but yeah, everybody has an opinion.

  8. Phil would be ashamed haha.

I have not heard the original just the accapella but I enjoyed what they did with it.

    Big ups

  9. well it does seem like one big back slapping circle jerk around here. Oh well. CR are good. AM are not. This mix is okay. And the acapella is on havefunclub.

  10. yeah i’m with tranter. the remix is ok too

  11. yo i think this remix is fine, the production is good (apart from a little bit of time stretching artifacts on the vox) and its nice to listen to maybe not for banging in the club but it has a good vibe. maybe thats the point.

    i guess i mustn’t know shit either.

  12. is that spruce spruce lee?

  13. YEAH DAWG!

    whats goin on jimmy?

  14. By no clue, I mean that the rearranging of the track has no purpose. It is painfully obvious when remixers blindly regurgitate a track.

A good remix needs both innovation and an idea. Normally these go hand-in-hand. This remix has neither.

And cr, give it a rest. The last thing people listening to your work need is to hear you try and defend it.

  15. brisbane/sydney taking over bigstereo, even the comments section..
i dig the mix, much better produced than most unsigned stuff in blogland. their track “always” is my favourite though, just a delightful tune.

  16. I love Christopher Robin and this remix is sick. Saw them live last year, I’ve never seen such insane rave-battle-dancing as when they thrashed out a cover of Robot Rock. It was pure awesomeness.

  17. “Cover of robot rock!”, “rave-battle-dancing!!”, “tranter” “spruce lee!!!”.
The only good thing on here in recent times is “knee slapping circle jerk”. This blog is going out of fashion faster than The Bravery. Oh look, your pals Van She are touring with them in Australia…

  18. check out this remix of amy meredith.

    http://www.myspace.com/listentoteenheat

i haven’t heard anymore in the remix competition

  19. teen heat mix is bangin’

  20. this remix makes it totally obvious. post electro new wave disco funk punk hipster hop is over. trance is back. tiesto better watch his back.
