It sounds like Deborah Harry and not anyone else – because…as sweet and pop as it is at times – it still sounds TOUGH.

Sorry, but this is unoriginal and the whole Cher vocoder thing is like 10 yrs too late.

It's great. I have NEVER heard anything Debbie has done that I didn't like.

It's not as great as the brilliant "Two Times Blue" or "If I Had You" but it's got that retro-80's sound (ironically…irony is par for the course for Debs) so, it'll probably be the hit! Debbie proves time and again that she is the Queen. If this suffers the same tragic fate as "Necessary Evil" and its' singles then, I guess she'll have to go pantyless for the paps or have a public meltdown to sell records!!! All I know is that all the newest Debbie and Blondie stuff has been fantastic and I want MORE!!!

I like the sharing of MONO and STEREO between verses and choruses. It helps spread the song up and down. Though i do like the song, I do agree with the out of date vocoder thing. It's done and over. It would have worked just fine without it. Don't be afraid to step out of bounds also. The beat is groovy, but needs a little mystery too.

I was reminiscing of a fast blast to Corpus Christi with a nasty blonde half my age. That long descent down the highway along the gulf before the bridge where the shrimpers paddle up to shore in small lorries and hawk huge shrimp and lobster on the roadside. Passing rapidly in the Tesla after a fast sprint out of the Hilton charging station at Dallas.

Some elements of this track were reminiscent of Shueh-li Ong Song Recalcitrance. But far more satisfying.

I have loved debbie since late1970's.She has dared to do a number of tracks and always managed to have her own rawness and edginess and i think this track is incredible, especially for this day and age with so many younger people and bands predominating our charts.You rock debbie.Love always xxx

Great track Debbie, can't wait to hear the remixes for the clubs. I especially love the falsetto and high parts. The lower register was hard for me to get used to at first, but after a few listens, I am there. It was the same with Two Times Blue. I love your high notes and upper register. Please record a new song using only those for your next project.

And, yes, I have all of the other studio CDs, including The Hunter, as well as many compilations and solo albums, i.e., I am a good and loyal fan of the best the music industry has to offer.

I went to buy "The ones" the other day…hoping for the cd2 to have the video as Debs is stunning in it…bit No! they dont have it in. Clearly the positive feedback this song is getting is because most of us are fans and we are inclined to support anything Debbie does. But this song sounds like a REJECT from a Madonna record. If Debbie is going to keep making solo records she needs to hire great producers or better yet, find great musicians and form a new band.

Hey Deb- I'm diggin' the new track, the lyrics are great and it's a fun song… I'm just bummed out that high energy stuff like New York and dare I say (my favorites EVER) Bike Boy and Comic Books aren't as high on the priority list anymore *weeps* I listen to those to a nauseating extent to this day~ PS I haven't had a chance to chuck flowers at you at any shows in Denver recently… 2 times blue i was late lol LOVE J

Been playing this track a lot these past few days and to non-hardcore Debbie fans as well: Hands down this is the best track she has done in many years. Its fresh and cool and has great lyrics. I feel with a little editing, some more vocal inflection and overlays in the "fit right in" part of the chorus would go a long way in not having it be to repetitive. This should be HUGE for Debbie. A few DJs need to step forward and have fun with it. It's just as good as anything Madonna has going on Hard Candy.

This track sounds like something Madonna would have rejected from her American Life album without a second thought. The lyrics are bad beyond belief (thankfully not as bad as 'the devil's dick is hard to handle'!) Deborah, you need to rethink who you are working with and get some less bias opinions (see Matthew's comment above). The sad thing is you can do so much better than this lyrically, vocally and musically. And anyway, where's that new Blondie album you and Chris have been talking about for the last few years! It's long overdue and you keep touring with no new songs to offer!

this is the Debbie Harry track I have been waiting for…. she needs to make an all dance album, since the clubs is where she is most loved. Two Times Blue hit the top five a few months back… a nice remix of this track could hit number one easily !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry but I've got to take issue with Neil2! "School For Scandal" is one of the most incisive comments on the "Paris-Brit-LiLo" disaster we've all had to witness! "The Devil's dick is hard to handle" isn't even something Debbie made up but, is a perfect analogy. Opinion is opinion but I gotta say, Neil2 is WAY off-base here.

Autoamerican's "Do the Dark" single was the last time I heard Debbie's voice sound so similarly pretty. "Walk on glass", the lyric of that song, is the exact same melody as the lyric "I can tell…" from this single. I love it's bright, cheerful melody and the many interesting textures. Thinking that Debbie Harry is still sneaking around throwing candy at us when we least expect it… is pretty damned cool. I think she is still the most elusive, understated megastar that deliberately keeps one step out of the limelight at all times just to tease us. No matter her age or style, she always fits right in!

I think it's a really fun song.. and short of the quick little bursts of the vocoder at around 2:17 (Which I personally love) the verses of the song are using either AutoTune or Melodyne (not a vocoder).

To all of those who complain about the song sounding dated, (or god forbid like Kylie) let's hear YOUR latest single!

I still..believe it or not have the album I bought Parallel Lines..somewhere in the early to mid '80s heh.

I was cruising thru the winamp music site ..reminiscing with music videos of all my old favorites when who do I spy but Debbie Harry and Blondie. I downloaded every single one.

The "Fit Right In" song is still dancing around in my head, if I may make a suggestion, please don't cover up that distinct Debra Harry voice with the vocorder thingie. :)

I have been a huge fan of Blondie (more specifically Debbie Harry) since the late 70s. I agree with some of the comments that prefer a live band (playing rock rather than dance), but I still think this is a great song. It is very catchy and does sound current. If it is Debbie Harry, it is cool regardless of the genre. I hope this becomes a hit (it should be). It does not make any sense that someone as awesome as DH is not more widely recognized on the radio. She has had so many great songs since Blondie first disbanded in the early 80s, you would think radio stations would jump at the chance to play her songs. I think Necessary Evil is a great album, and in a more perfect world, it might have gotten more air play. I hope she will continue to record new music. There are many of us out there who look forward to it.

Love the chorus…and the lyrics. Think it is more "poppy" than much of Necessary Evil, but I have no problem with that at all. I think "Two Times Blue" may be my very favorite DH solo song, and it fits right in with the top Blondie tunes.

Of course I'm not one to tell Debbie what to do. She's an enigma, which is part of her appeal. Does she want to record the pop gems like in the Blondie heyday? Does she want to be more edgy and modern? Does she want to do a mix of the two, on her own schedule and when she feels like it? This is part of her neverending appeal…that indefinable ATTITUDE that she'll do what she wants, when she wants to do it, and not one minute earlier. She's not a corporate whore who does what she's told.

For my money–it seems like everyone who actually hears songs like "Two Times Blue" and "Fit Right In" likes them…and by that I mean, the people who buy albums (instead of singles on iTunes). I think DH could have one of the most massive albums of the century if she'd just do a full-fledged pop album. Think of an album that included: Two Times Blue, Naked Eye, I Can See Clearly, French Kissing, He Is So, Get Your Way, Liar, Liar…it would get 5 stars everywhere.

This is all ironic because I was listening to Cher's Living Proof the other day and thinking how awful it was, and how it was such a major success. DH doesn't need those vocal tricks (actually, I don't think Cher did either–but there's no comparison in terms of the artistry, the writing, and everything else to DH). But who knows? Maybe she'll surprise us one day–she always does.

While not my favorite kind of song, regardless, it's better than what I hear out in clubs. No one can sing a lyric like Debbie Harry, whether it be sarcastic, funny, sensitive, and after hearing the opening of You're Too Hot, my my how she's grown. Debbie's not only a great singer, but one of the most humble icons in music. No one looks more surprised when interviewed and praised. Her humility should be contagious to the rest of the industry. The song itself woud be fun to listen to in a club, and on my ipod at the gym. Will it be up there with some of the others, doubt it, but no matter what, I'd buy it, request it, and dance to it.

What about a Debbie Singles or the very best opf DEBBIE HARRY album – I really belive and do think all those "wasted" years bumping out so much good solo hits deserves a 2nd chnace , I think more Peopel will NOW Licten to Debbie Harry archive material than they did in teh 80's. Bring them back dust off teh grapa and send us all to heaven with DEBBIE's solo collection.

Debbie is just amazing. This new track shows she is smart current and has outstanding music ability, like her latest CD. tO Quote Debbie her" latest is the greatest" Fit right in is a sign she is still going strong. I wish Debbie would get more radio time especially XM radio. What i like most she writes her own music and does it for the appreciation on of singing. More more more debbie, I am a die hard fan. I only got to see her once, but, I got to see her and I look forward to more music.

Needs a good remix for it to do well in the clubs. Otherwise, the song has grown on me since my last post a few weeks ago. I am just thrilled Debbie is back in the studio doing stuff with Super Buddha and I hope with Chris Stein again. But, I would love for Debbie to work with other producers like Moby again.

I don't like this song at all. It's very repetitive and totally unoriginal to the point of being boring to listen to. I'm not a fan of dance music. I wish that Debbie could have recorded something more interesting as she's capable of much better!

This has a great up to date sound and would do well in the charts. I heard an exclusive rockier version at Blondie's live show in Glasgow with Paul Carbonara singing the fit right in parts and it sounded amazing.
