Yet another diamond in the rough thanks to musical referrals. The Emergency are from Melbourne, Australia and their brooding, indie electro sound reminds me so much of Colder (who has since stopped making music much to my dismay) Well, maybe Colder mixed with Cut Copy mixed with Chromatics. Maybe I’m just a sucker for things that sound like they are recorded by tall, dark and handsome gentlemen playing synths in long, concrete hallways.

These tracks are off of their second upcoming LP which should be out in April on Exo in Australia and Metal Postcard in the US and Hong Kong. If you can’t wait that long, they are releasing a 12″ in March titled ‘Forever/Too Much’ with two original tracks and two remixes…one done by my local San Francisco favorite C.L.A.W.S.
