The Death Set

I think my first introduction to The Death Set was this past summer with Bang Gang’s Light Sound Dance disc — probably later than some of you cool kids, but Rad Warehouses Bad Neighborhoods has been hanging out with my ears since then…
My ear tends to migrate towards poppier sounds — “Negative Thinking” being not as hard as some of the Death Set’s previous songs. Still brash and edgy and all that, though:
THE DEATHSET - “NEGATIVE THINKING”
“Impossible” might be near classic material now, and Dan Deacon’s has only helped to contribute to that legacy.
THE DEATHSET - “IMPOSSIBLE” (DAN DEACON REMIX)
“Impossible” is off Rad Warehouses Bad Neighborhoods and is in stores now. “Negative Thinking” will be released in ‘08 on Ninja Tunes. Purchases can be made by way of their online store, yo.

Oh how exciting! I think The Death Set is great and I am so happy to see them getting some on this site. Bigstereo is my homepage…so you couldn’t imagine how happy I was to have a pic of my buddy be the first thing I saw when I got online.
I had the pleasure of living above Johnny Siera all summer. He has to be one of my favorite people in Baltimore. Along with Dan Deacon, this band is also a Baltimore favorite.
Great job spotlighting them :)

Oh. I meant to say that I’m happy to see them getting some LOVE…but I’m sure they’re also getting some too.
Kudos!
