Partyshank

partyshank

Nominated by our readers as an act to watch out for in 2008, Partyshank has some new untitled material for our ears. There are some pretty big sounds on this one and I’m loving the vocoder on the vocals and the instrumental takes us to about ten different places and… yeah. These guys are totally pulling out all the stops.

A bit burnt out on all the bangers, but this one still caught my interest:

Partyshank - “Untitled” (Extended mix) (mp3)

Partyshank - “Untitled” (Extended mix w/o vocals) (mp3)

Partyshank is coming to States in April. Keep an out for that.

  1. travis i like most things that you post, but this was pretty derivative. it’s like a chromeo track vocal over a throwaway justice beat. and who needs that? sorry, my first comment isn’t nice. besos.

  2. lurk mcgurk is a hater
  3. i like this one quite a bit.
its my fave out since the
    january 3rd post.
and plus they have the cutest instruments.

  4. not wanting to be annoying but for future reference that is not a vocoder effect. its a talk box. pedantic i know but its just the way i am :>

  5. meh

  6. these guys seem like annoying wankers who think they invented wearing colorful clothes and shit. they probably are some middle class kids who like to think its really edgy and IRONIC! to use grime music with their beats. just my two right there.

  7. 1) middle class?! they’re from ockendon you prick! you ever been there??
    2) what grime music!??
    3) what the fuck does it matter what clothes they wear you pretentious. arsehole.
they’re just trying to do something a bit different / keep it fresh and they get slated for it.
you’re so typical of the sort of bitter idiot that posts comments on this blog, I love this blog but it seems like everyone who reads it has no idea what they’re talking about!
    do some R E S E A R C H.

  8. mmm… im quite disappointed by this tune. Ive only heard really good things about these guys but this is, sadly, nothing new.

The other stuff I have heard is totally different; what, i suppose, could be described as grime-tech… watch out for these guys in the future, i really hope we don’t see any more of this stuff, the market is already saturated.

  9. proper find this lads stunnin’! how old are they though ? seem pretty young!
