Another week, another guest blog. This time, Tronik Youth takes the reins and steers us into the territory of people ‘in the know’. There has been plenty of buzz about this artist already so be prepared to be briefed on ‘the next big thing.’

Shinichi Osawa has been the most exciting producer for me in the last few years…If you think this is a hyped claim, heres an example of his skills; he managed to make a Soulwax track sound even better:

….sorry stream only by the artist request, but he gave you some other free goodies below!

Shinichi is from japan and spent over ten years in jazzy band Mondo Grosso, who were one of the few Japanese band to gain huge respect from the western dance community. He has since branched out on his own with a variety of amazing re-edits for labels like Kitsune and artists such as Boys Noize, Christopher just and digitalism, his remix of their track pogo has for me been the killer tune of 2007 especially the dub version. His style is a combination of amazing sounds and killer chops….he is also a great dj too and spins at Womb
in tokyo, recently voted the best club in the world. Shinichi has recently released an album called ‘the one’ in japan (where he is a megastar) and promoted it by doing a series of shows in apple stores throughout japan which were mobbed out. The lp includes guest vocals from Princess superstar

Shinichi Osawa ft Princess Superstar - Detonator

and Au Revoir Simone.

He is going to be huge in 2008. he has a lp of remixes of his debut lp due on kitsune in 2008.

Here is a bonus exclusive an unreleased re-edit Thomas
Anderssons ‘washing up’.’

Thomas Andersson - Washing Up

Thanks Tronik, that was an amazingly meaty post. Loads of good stuff. Dont stop…boing boom tschak!
