Tronik Youth – Best of 2008 Mixtape
Another great mixtape from Neon Coyote. We’ve posted [...]
This has been playing constantly on my computer, mostly because I’ve been too lazy to download it, but more for the reason that it’s so good and I can’t stop playing it. The EP was sent to me a few weeks back and I kind of didn’t post any of it thinking it would be [...]
12 Comments »While the future of Bonde Do Role hangs in the air — it is pretty much certain that Marina’s shoes are big ones to fill. While official word from their camp is they’re currently recruiting a replacement, my secret (ok, not so secret) hope is Gorky and Pedro continue as a duo while bringing in [...]
7 Comments »Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. I know its almost over for half the world, but it’s never too late to hand out a few musical gifts. This time Donovan (formerly known as Killdahype…you might remember their remix of ‘Daft Punk – Around the World) gave us a 320 version of one of my [...]

2 Comments »Wow a ‘Mixtape Sunday’ posted ON Sunday (as of 5:41 PST)!?! I was debating whether to post this special Italo edition as a ChristmasHannukahKwanzaa present or post it next week as the ‘champagne toast’ to start off the new year. It’s too good to hold to so let’s sample some real music…..
Tronik Youth is [...]
I’ve been waiting quite a while to do a Curses! post, but the wait is over. I’ve been hooked ever since he came through with the Institubes tour a few months ago. He was first up of the bunch but killed it laying vocals over the his entire set. I have a feeling that [...]
4 Comments »La Grève Générale is back with another quality mix tape. LGG has become known for dropping in surprises, and there are quite a few nice ones here. Anything but typical.
2007 was the year of blog house… is it dead? Let this mix carry you over to 2008.

40 Comments »Tronik Youth is poised and ready to invade the world in 2008. He just finished a teaser West Coast dj tour and even got to dip into Mexico, but the best is yet to come. Let’s begin with this track. Jakobinarina managed to snag Tronik to remix…..no, reinvent their track ‘Jesus.’ It’s rumored that [...]

So artistic freedom is a beautiful thing. It means that people like Dominique from The Glass doesn’t HAVE to provide banging electro distorted tracks for his guest blog…..he’s free to introduce us to, well I’ll let him tell you…
So thanks to the blogs we are supertars in Skopje Macedonia. They have no official CDs or [...]
Hands & Arms: kinda strange that the two bands Tybalt has remixed are Damn Arms and Cut Off Your Hands. Trend? I dunno — but the appendage-band remixes stop there as their next will be for Brooklyn’s Telepathe.
“Edie” might be my favorite track off Damn Arm’s The Live Artex, and Tybalt does the song justice [...]
Haldan over at Palms Out Sounds first tipped me off on Fagget Fairys last spring — little did I know they’d make their way onto the first twelve inch put out by Palms Out. “Uzela” has been floating around the blogs for a little while now… and with good reason. Such a hot track. If [...]

Most of you in the know aren’t strangers to Friendly Fires. So refreshing: any dance act that doesn’t rely on rave horns and breakbeats or get totally lost in nostalgia and baggy neon clothes gets an A plus in my book. While their music channels the past, Friendly Fires keep it [...]
We managed to wrangle up Dorian from The Teenagers to share his insider secret for this guest blog. So let’s hear what you know that the rest of us don’t…
My new favourite band ever is called LADYHAWKE. It’s a 26 years old girl who just signed a deal with Modular and i discovered her music [...]
Someone decided to put an 80’s flair on the Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya remix of The Whip’s ‘Sister Siam’ that Travis posted here a little bit ago. Uh, we need more kid dance parties….they seem to go crazier than all the 20-somethings…And their outfits put you all to shame (especially the untucked polo shirt over [...]

::::::::::::::::: They’re back again….In Flagranti AND the musical chills. Their new tracks always come at the perfect time when i feel like my musical system needs a cleansing. Please flush my body with italo disco! Real basslines, sexed up vocals, undistorted percussion….makes me want to shut [...]
14 Comments »You must know the love I have for Greg aka DJ Never Forget over at Finger On The Pulse. We have posted some of his mixes here before and this is another one of those ‘Letters from Greg’. He likes to keep me posted and it’s always nice to hear a refreshing mix from friends [...]
4 Comments »Herr Styler has been ringing in my ear for quite a while. We have been playing email wars for a bit now. This is the time to bring them to the masses. Again as I tend to repeat a lot, I love them because they aren’t bangers. They just are right with the right amount [...]
