I’ve never been the biggest advocate of mashups or smashups or whatevers. I think I even used to sing that Bone Crusher hook as a joke in conversations from time to time. Krazy Fiesta has somehow managed to incorporate it into their song without me shutting it off after the first ten seconds. It’s saved by the hi hat snare and the fact that i almost forget that bone crushing sample when the backup vocals kick into high gear. If these guys have somehow slipped past your musical radar, they’ve gotten some good posts up on Discobelle and Missingtoof!
his “lip gloss” remix was on point as well.

Ehhh.. really not feeling this. His voice doesn’t match the song behind it.

I really like kf, but this one.. no. the lip gloss-remix though, and “whitest boy to bump”, yeah.

Not the best mashup…one of the things that irks me about most mashups is that the producer more often than not seems to be more concerned about matching tempos vs. tone. Technically the vocal fits, but the sounds don’t match the vox at all… I wish the two were pulled apart and developed separately into different tracks.

There’s always this funky dancable thing to the KF tracks, love it! “Lip Gloss” is their peak though, high on my best of 2007 list for sure!
