I’ve been on a bit of a Brazil kick as of late — and continuing with that is São Paulo trio Mono4. “Source” starts out sounding like a hundred other diy electro-pop tracks, but right around the one and half minute mark the song totally takes off and is almost epic. Sure, it’s under-produced and maybe even demo-ish in quality, but that’s part of what makes it so endearing. The potential is what makes it fantastic.

There are a few other songs on Mono4’s MySpace that are as good — if not better — for sure, worth checking out. Keep this band on your “to keep an eye on” list.
