The Teenagers

The Teenagers - “Starlett Johansson” (YouTube)

The Teenagers are back with their second video… for their second single, “Starlett Johannson.” Directed by Price James (Shit Disco, Simian Mobile Disco), the visuals are perfectly understated and perfectly matched. Actually, it’s quite clever with The Teenagers’ film images projected onto the faux-Scarlett which echoes the consuming, compulsive lyrics.

Okay, sooo this video cemented this track as my favorite tune from the Teenagers.

Yeah i was TOTALLY into teenagers about a year ago and it looks like they still havent recorded anything new.

How long are they going to keep forcing these tracks without an album?

I say this not to hate because I really do want an album.

And I’m still blogged on Discodust: 2 tracks are available, including my remix for Juvelen’s “They Don’t Love You”.

This song really doesnt do it for me and doesnt have the charm of their others, but I would be stoked if I were Scarlett.

As far as not having an album, I’d rather it be good than rushed.

um exact same riff as their lowlife remix, is it not?

homecoming is still my favorite track. and here is my one annoyance: they’re obviously going for the lost in translation scarlett but the models underwear are like bright white! hers were sheer! gee teenagers, get right with your faux-indie cred!
