Simian Mobile Disco released a new video for “Hustler” — I’m not sure what was wrong with the original. Even a year old, it’s like ten times better. This one is a little too glitzy-Ibiza for my taste, but whatever… for the masses I’m sure.

Funny I'd see Benny get mentioned, as I've always thought that what the Hustler video needed was what the Who's Your Daddy video had: an extended XXX version to the full-length mix of the track. Imagine what those girls would end up doing (to each other) after another three and a half minutes. Hey, if my DJing career fairs, I can always just direct electro house videos.

Man that just looks like a Benny Benassi video clip trying to be an Aphex Twin clip. The original was definately better.

i think the irony is that the new video is trying to have lots of "sexy girls" to appeal to the masses, yet the girls in the first are actually fit as opposed to the "hed-kandi" generic types in the new one….oh well

Wow, lots of inane, fatuous comments here. I thought it was a neat subversion of MTV Dance/Ibiza video cliches. It's far more interesting than the original, it's certainly quite a transgressive approach. The nod to Aphex at the end is great too.
