Stop Die Resuscitate

Stop Die Resuscitate has a 12″ on one of our favorite labels out there: Summers Lovers Unlimited. The real gem here is the b-side “Bounce”, which seems to be pretty much the disillusioned statement on the scene: “All the people wanna hear are songs about nothing. They’re too drunk. They’re too high. They can’t think. They can’t fuck. All the people wanna hear are songs about nothing. Bounce, bounce, bounce with me.” A bit cynical, but so true. Another round of lyrics and then the track gets a little nightmarish.

The other stand out track on this disc is the Tacteel remix of “Bad Night” which features an appearance by Teki Latex. So good. Also includes remixes by Leif and Murr. Purchase directly from SLUM Records.

Stop Die Resuscitate’s remixed Apostle of Hustle’s “Haul Away” — there are some almost blog rave-y elements to the mix, but it thankfully never reaches cheesy Ibiza levels. Still, you may find your hands in the air.
