So i got to email over a few questions to the head honchos at Kitsune Maison to ask a few things about that had been on my mind. Maybe they were some of the same things you’ve been wondering….

what is your secret for discovering and signing so many ‘heavy hitters’

it is a secret; ..[i'm just] joking, in fact being everyday working hard and believe in our taste

what’s your change in strategy for the increasing popularity of digital music and the decline of the sale of CDs?

not so much ,just change the media partners;
we do digital promotion to dj, to media, to fans.;
the internet is the future as you might have guessed yourself

music blogs…friend or foe?

that’s the wild far west there at the moment
[there are] no rules
everybody is doing what [whatever they] want
i don’t know if it is too late for people to understand
that music should get a price;
we’ll see;

are you planning on taking the compilation to the next level and making kitsune dj mix tapes (i.e. DJ Kicks, Fabric Live)?

we are planning to do a mix cd yes with Boombox london
you know the sunday fashion party
i don’t know if mixtape is the next level
i think next level is more about developing and working on artists
we have a great album of Digitalism out now
and soon Cazals album

any new upcoming kitsune projects/tours?

we are working on Kitsuné Maison5 already;
on digitalism album still
on Cazals album soon
on Autokratz album
plus tons ,tons of super good 12″

can you suggest any hot spot/parties in Paris that we need to visit on our next holiday?

Ouch;
hot spot is where people having fun;
should be le parisparis, la fleche d’or, Maxim’s .;

who is your favorite ‘Ed Banger’ artist of the moment?

i love them all the same
i love also the Moshi Moshi artists ,all the warp artists, all the
modular artists , all the Dim Mak artists ;-)
