Rework

Back in 2005 a couple of Germans, Daniel Varga and Michel Kuebler, recruited Sascha Hedgehog to lend her dark and brooding vocals to their minimal techno and formed Rework.
They released this track a few months back on the label Playhouse, and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since. Sascha unleashes her thoughts about life and love over a driving, dark bassline. She sounds like a dominatrix leading you in 6 inch stilettos and a leather corset down the hallway to your room. She’s all giggles and small talk until that door shuts, and the show begins with a crack of her whip:

‘Don’t give a fuck’ *Crack*
‘Don’t fuck with love’ *Crack*
‘Love’s fucking cheap’ *Crack*.

I bet you’re paying attention now….and just like me, you can’t stop. Well, Sascha won’t let you. *Crack*
