Cloetta Paris

Cloetta Paris is a new Swedish duo that reminds me a lot of last year’s sensation Sally Shapiro. “I Miss You Someone” has some of the same Italo Disco influences and similar icy vocals.

Not much info out on these guys yet… but make sure to head to Cloette Paris’ MySpace to hear their “Broken Heart Tango” and dl’d their “St. Elmo’s Fire.”

  1. I like her name and her tracks are surprisingly good for someone so unknown on myspace

ps for those of you who don’t know Cloetta is like Swedens biggest chocolate producing company

  2. Yeah great track. Im a big fan of Shapiro as well, isnt she outta Sweden too?

  3. Oh shit! She’s got a St. Elmo’s Fire cover on her myspace page.

    Nice find, dudes.

  4. Yep, Shapiro is homegrown as well. I’d guess the common denominator between the two is swedish producer(?) Johan Agebjörn.

  5. Wow, these songs are really good, she sounds a lot like the girl from “The Bird And The Bee”, any connection?

  6. Cloetta Paris used to be in a twee band called My Brother’s Stamp Collection.

I heard Paris Hilton got her name because her dad liked the Hilton hotel in Paris so much - maybe Cloetta’s dad liked chocolate very much…

PS. I’m not involved in the project but Roger “Nixon” Gunnarsson is.

  10. What are you using for the mp3 on your site?

Um… I’m not sure if that was a joke, but Paris Hilton’s family *owns* the Hilton hotels. And Cloetta Paris is the name of the band, not the singer.

  12. It’s a joke of course, Johan Agebjörn is the producer behind Sally Shapiro. :)
