Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya
19 May 2007 :: posted by TravisBitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya seem to have appeared out of thin air… and for being around for such a short of amount of time they seem to be very well connected. There’s a certain amount of mystery surrounding them — no photos, no bio. I exchanged a few emails with Bitchee to try and find out more. Such mystery… are they a front for another act? A joke? Or just some kids cutting shit up in their basement? Bitchee didn’t let on much and just pointed me in the direction of their mp3s.
Regardless. Whoever they are doesn’t matter. They’re creating some bootleg mixes that are to die for. And their track “Fuck Friend” is totally catch. “Fuck Friend” falls in the same fake pop category of say… the Teenagers. Devilish lyrics mixed with some damn catchy music… this track is going to get lots of spins. Look for remixes by CSS, Bonde Do Role, Mr Flash and Brodinski.
BBYYY - “Fuck Friend” (mp3)
BBYYY’s remix of “Office Boy” is pretty banging. Totally raw and edgy, but it still maintains the catchy appeal of the original track and propels it forward. Good stuff.

Do they realize how effin bad that distortion sounds at 5 to 10 thousand watts? No one will be spinning this cut at any venue that holds more than 50 people.

A typical indie dive will hold around 250, to get into the sub-50 head venues you’d have to be playing one of those tiny restaurant-cum-club gigs with two little speakers set up on poles. Or maybe the target is house parties, beats me.
Your blog is great, I’ve read weekly for probably two years now. I suppose now I’m one of those wads whose first comment is to bitch.

no, you’re right. but i just don’t know if these tracks are made for club play. seems more like living room, car, and house party material. just my 2 cents.

you can check their myspace to see what upcoming shows they have. they are doing shows with vitalic, and even sebastien tellier.
imo everyone is just one pop trash song away from being a house hold name.. with kitsune backing them up, its only a matter of time.
