7 Day Weekend is a trio out of Perth, Australia that is creating dancey little diy rap songs. Judging from the sampling of tracks that I’ve heard they’re a bit formulaic but regardless totally enjoyable. Ok, what I’m trying to say is art school rap has become a genre of its own, and I love it.
“Hot Property” kinda reminds me of Holy Hail’s “Born Of A Star” — very similar sing songy rap thing going on there. A little less twangy dance party and a little more chill though. I’m loving this track…

“Party Monster” has more of a Gravy Train electroclashy vibe to it… I’m digging it. It makes me giggle. And proof that pizza and boys are all you really need for a party.

Their outfits are annoying the shit outta me! I hope they grown outta this phase. Other than that, love the songs. First song totally reminds me of Peaches in the beginning ‘motherfuckers wanna get with me’.

the songs sound GREAT and i love the whole girly too cool for art school thing aswell. totally can see them going down a storm at east end parties, someone bring them over to the uk!
