The Glamour
14 May 2007 :: posted by Travis :: add to favsOne of our current favs, The Glamour, sent over their brand new track for us all to enjoy. They’re rapidly starting to build quite the catalog. “Get Into It” is a nice little jam… a bit funkier than some of their previous tracks. It kinda reminds me of Les Rythmes Digitales’ during his Darkdancer era — like they hit my weak spot with some cool 80’s freestyle influences going on there…
The boys played MisShapes this past Saturday — after that they have some home dates and then are off in June to the dirty south to play a show in Atlanta. Exact dates on the Glamour’s Virb.

rich i kinda see what you’re saying… i mean they’re not going to change the music world. but they create some catchy party music that’s easy to like and listen to… i think that’s where the hype kicks in.
it’s ok not to like — but can you guys at least offer up some constructive criticism??? saying you don’t like something isn’t saying much… and i’m sure the band would appreciate the feedback.

Let’s put it this way… When you people like Flosstradamus and Klever playing their stuff and putting them on their top 10’s and what not, they are obviously doing something right. It may not be for all these music Nazi’s that have one specific vision of how music should be, but hey, when did that ever work?
Rock on dudes!!!!!

Shoot, all I have to say is I can’t wait to see these kids in the ATL! And for you angry bloggers out there, get off your computers and learn how to dance or somethin. Cause for real, everytime I hear their tracks dropped, the kiddies go nuts!

I like people that take the time to write angry messages. It makes me smile. I usually just throw away tracks I don’t like. You guys are really getting some people angry!!! But I love you and your music.

Haha, I was just thinking that same thing. Whenever I come across something I don’t like I just listen to like 5 seconds of the track and move on. It’s funny that people are reacting to us so strongly one way or the other, but I think it’s a good thing.
