The Teenagers

The Teenagers – “Homecoming” (YouTube)

I’ve already seen this video on like almost every blog I subscribe to… but it’s just too perfect not to repost for the millionth time. So much love for The Teenagers.

Ah… in the past six months they’ve remixed like every trendy band ever. The band has become so much more than just an Internet favorite. It makes me all weepy like they’re all grown up now and headed off into the big bad world of booking agents and record labels.

  2. iReally Love The Teenagers & This Video.

  3. the video’s actually pretty tame considering the song’s subject matter. a touch on the boring side though

  4. do they anticipate on the gap between the song and the video? i think so…

  5. The video is tops! I am diggin’ on the Passions mix of this song aswell.

    Awesome, indeed!

  6. boring? the song itself is so provocative… i like that the video is understated and simple. smart move.

  7. Jeez, am I the only one who finds this song totally offensive? Like, the guy’s a prick, right? Or is it OK to be a prick if the girl is American?

  8. yeah totally travis! thats the whole point right? the video is so soft, dreamy and naive to juxtapose against the dirty, crude but sugar-like lyrics. i think that because lyrically the track it is so “narrative” based its way more effective being simplistic and more about a mood. Here’s more info in an article I came across:

  9. I love The Teenagers. The video was simple, and left me wanting more. I do not find any of their songs offesive. Only if you are the product of American Hollywood wannabe glamour trash- would it be offensive. I want them to come ever here!
