I see nothing wrong with grabbing samples from the past. I think it’s a pretty strong album, Je T’aime is a wee bit cheesy but it’s damn good! It’s a well funky album I think it’s far too easy to be over analytical about it! Chill out and enjoy man!

Armand van Helden is one of the best DJ’s I know. he combines guitars and danceable beats together. For me he is the best combination of dance and some rock to dance to. I would do anything to see him play.

The first track “Go Crazy” AVH actually uses freakin “Orch Hit” samples. They got outta date in the early 90’s and even that was too late. Lame.

Those vocals are painful to listen to.

AVH is a bit of a sellout here.

NYC Beat remixes are nice (MSTRKRFT etc) but originals seem wank.

seems like everyone is jumping on this ‘new-run(dmc)’ train…like a-trak, kid sister, etc….but i cant say i dont love it
