Bonde Do Role - “Solta O Frango” (Imeem)
Brazil taking over. The video for “Solta O Frango” doesn’t quite capture the intensity of their live show, but it is one of the better videos to land in our inbox in a long time. Fake chicken fights are super.
Bonde Do Role’s With Lasers seems like it should’ve been out a long, long time ago. Dropping soonish on Domino, you can buy With Lasers today on pre-release from iTunes.
Best of 07 so far. No lie.

i was their 7th or 8th friend on myspace ha ha

Hi LPZ
Tell me some more about Bonde do role - what does it mean? i mean their name?
and i saw them getting described as funk carioca - what does carioca mean? and is it a word play on baile funk - getting transferred to funk…

Carioca means: all from Rio de Janeiro, people, music, etc.
Bonde: This is a slang in Brazil for band of funk carioca…
Rolê: also is a slang, is like “walking without destination, just go out for see what is happen”…
The name of the band, unfortunately, only have means in brazilian protuguese, because the expression “Bonde do Rolê” is a slang.
sorry my english, i do my best.
