Young Americans

LA is quickly becoming the dance capital of the States — move over New York, Miami, Detroit, Chicago. There are more acts coming out of California these days than those other cities combined. Young Americans is one of those acts to keep an eye on. “Turning Inside Out” has a Justicesque electro banger feel to it but with like a bit of that well produced California sound. The definite party jam. I love this track.

And be sure to check out their MySpace for some pretty killer remixes. Their TVOTR “Staring At The Sun” mix is refreshing… and extra bonus points for remixing the Scanners.

They’ve sampled Does It Offend You, Yeah? in this track… very successfully too. Love it.

a million justice rip off groups does not make a dance music scene, it just makes a bunch of unoriginal fucktards

There is something about them that is very pure and whole hearted that gives off this vibe that makes you want to get up and dance.

this track i like. but the la shit is too overprocessed for me. you get the feeling they’re trying way too hard.

oh yeah, and i don’t give a shit what anyone says, but i will always think the whole industry sounds like they’re trying to do what daft punk did in ‘96. this is not a bad thing.

im surprised someone said they sound like a justice rip off
why are justice & mstrkrft credited so highly?
like they haven’t taken a million cues from other groups
youngamericans sounds nothing like justice to me
they’re actually good.
