I totally thought the new video for The Valentinos’ “Nightmoves” was like some poorly converted flash video or something. But… it’s supposed to look that. I’m slow. After figuring that out… “Nightmoves” is a pretty damn cool video.
And I know most of you have already heard the Bagraiders remix of “Kafka” off of Kitsuné Maison 3… or at least you should’ve. Well, it is soon to be released along side the Comets remix of “Nightmoves” on a Kitsuné 12 inch. I have to say this remix is the most exciting remix to pass my desk in a while. You’re going to be dancing your life away to this…

And I hate making predictions because I end up wrong and you call me on it and it’s embarrassing… but keep your eye on both The Valentinos and Comets in 2007. If you haven’t noticed, the Comets (Tim from Cut Copy and Joel from Riot In Belgium) have been putting out some fucking amazing, amazing remixes. And The Valentinos are working on an album that I can honestly say I can’t wait to hear.

Until now, I thought YouTube had yet to be exploited by digital artists and the indie scene. Thank you Bejesus! While it isn’t orgasimic and is a bit typical, they do try to cut up the frame and do something interesting. If you are going to go with a dull music video format, at least try something different with the frames. It is so cheap to digitally manipulate now.
