Oh Steed Lord, where have you been hiding my entire life? The band looks like they could be Vanilla Ice’s back up dancers… the music, which hints at early 90′s house and embraces crunk, doesn’t seem that far detached from the era either. The most amazing and refreshing part is it seems genuine without a hint of irony. Well maybe a little hint, but Steed Lord doesn’t seem to be making music just for the sake of just being clever.

Steed Lord might be lumped into the Kudu and J*Davey category except for their crisper, edgier sound. Plus this band seems to drive home the dance sound where as Kudu and J*Davey often tangent off into the R&B arena. Eh, whatever. Comparing apples and apples gets boring. Judge for yourself…

i like them, good party rocking stuff, but they should tone down the glam a bit, i think its over the top, the whole ghetto glam bit.. come on its iceland, not compton…

seriously? this band sucks my ass. plastic kitsch and it doesn't matter if they are trying not to be ironic, they just are by right of doing music that was only marginally popular when it was new. plus they do not vary their sound at all. this shit is terrible and i don't understand why paper rad generation is so into it.
