CSS - “Alala” (YouTube)
By now I’m sure you have already seen CSS’s crazy backwards fight video. And like most of you guys, I have pretty much burnt through Cansei De Ser Sexy. I want more! Now! Luckily Sub Pop released CSS’s “Alala” just in time to satisfy that craving. Backed with remixes by Princess Superstar and Bonde do Role, “Alala” should even have the naysayers bopping along. Both mixes totally hold their own and are enough reason to pick up the single. But the real gem is b-side “Odio Odio Odio Sorry C.” I wish the entire album picked up on more of this sound. It feels a bit more physical and solid than what their album offers — not that I’m not totally in love with pop influences of their full length.

Totally agree man, Odio is such a track! Like you say, if only the album had more of that rawness.
