THE MIX IS OKAY… I agree that the track should have been broken down a bit more… AND YES… ‘we are pilots’ the SHINY TOY GUNS cd has been re-worked, and re-worked and re-worked and re-worked! — SHINY TOY GUNS…. in my opinion are LIARS, FRAUDS, PEDOPHILES, THIEVES… this is my opinion based on my interactions and experiences with it’s band members in December/January 2005/2006 in New York City while I was using a recording studio down the hall from where they were working on their CD – I was sexually harassed by their drummer Mikey Martin, and they kept coming into my sessions to check out what I was doing…. CONSTANTLY… I HAVE BEEN DOING EXTENSIVE RESEARCH ON THE MUSIC INDUSTRY AND SHINY TOY GUNS FOR A BOOK THAT I AM WRITING CALLED, MUSIC PIMPS & POP TARTS, THE AMERICAN MUSIC INDUSTRY… I have also been posting NEWS STORIES THAT ARE TRUE ON SHINY TOY GUNS, and my music recording experience in December/January of 2005/2006 in New York City…. here is the latest of these NEWS ITEMS… that is posted at my website and on many more sites on the Internet…
OCTOBER 22, 2006 – NEWS UPDATE…
I have been reporting on the Internet for the last 8 months, about the band SHINY TOY GUNS… ALL TRUE NEWS STORIES! In hopes that the appropriate legal action can be brought against it’s band members JEREMY DAWSON, GREGORI CHAD PETREE, MIKEY MARTIN and CARAH FAYE CHARNOW… including their record companies UNIVERSAL/MOTOWN, and their UK record label… who are involved in financing and promoting the illegal activity of this band and it’s members… including TO THE BEAT recording studios and it’s affiliates, MARK SAUNDERS (who produced the re-worked CD that the band released on October 17, 2006) and their new manager JIM WELCH. All these people are involved in criminal acitivity and have aided and abbetted SHINY TOY GUNS, music band in it’s solicitation of under age kids.

They are now communicating with MINORS via cellphones/mobile devices and getting underage kids cellphone numbers and communicating with them directly now via cellphones/mobile devices. If you read the privacy policy that the record company has posted on the bands internet site: http://www.shinytoyguns.com – you will read that the cellphone numbers collected are shared with the BAND and the RECORD COMPANY and any other marketing affiliates that they want to give this information to. And I have collected and documented numerous one-on-one communications that this band SHINY TOY GUNS have already engaged in with underage kids via not only the Internet but also via cellphones/mobile devices!

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS COUNTRY? It is time that the GOVERNMENT step in and do something about this situation! In addition, the band SHINY TOY GUNS and it’s associates are attempting to get restraining orders against me in an attempt to STOP ME FROM REPORTING ABOUT THEIR ILLEGAL AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR ON THE INTERNET, by claiming that I am an ONLINE STALKER now. WHAT I AM DOING IS ONLINE NEWS REPORTING…. and, I AM REPORTING THE TRUTH! So, this should be interesting litigation!

The band SHINY TOY GUNS has even recruited that aspiring folk singer that I had reported about several months ago.. LIZZY GRANT… to attempt to bolster this claim of onlne stalking by the band SHINY TOY GUNS against me – visit her web page: http://www.myspace.com/mayjailer – and read the blog section – she has posted a message there stating that due to an online stalker she will not be posting blogs -THIS IS THE SINGER THAT WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DRUMMER MIKEY MARTIN, who the band had recruited to do some vocal work at TO THE BEAT recording studios back in February 2006 when they were recording there, and they had this girl do some studio vocal work for them – which was PURE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN – type material – which is what SHINY TOY GUNS DO WTH GIRLS/WOMEN — they are MUSIC PIMPS! – Mark Saunders their producer, and TO THE BEAT studios along with a DJ called TOMMY SUNSHINE were involved with this production work.

(NEWS UPDATE: October 20, 2006 – this girl LIZZY GRANT who is associated with the drummer of SHINY TOY GUNS (she was his on again, off again SEX PARTNER over the past 9 months) took down that message that she had previously posted in her blog section on myspace.com on October 20, 2006… but I will still leave the reference to this matter herein for the World to VIEW, and let’s wait to see what these men release with regards to this aspiring folk singer LIZZY GRANT who was sexually exploited by these men in January/February of 2006) TO THE BEAT recording studio is the studio that was down the hall from the hip hop recording studios that I was using at the Film Center Building SEVENTH FLOOR, in New York City (9th Avenue, between 44th & 45th Streets back in December/January of 2005/2006) I had reported over 8 months ago about what was going on over at the SEVENTH floor of the Film Center Building with the sexual exploitation and sexual abuse, and mental and emotional abuse of under age kids over there by the MUSIC INDUSTRY PREDATORS that occupy the recording studios on the SEVENTH floor of that building. There are allot of under age kids that take voice lessons on that floor daily that are preyed upon by these music producers/recording studios.

There also was a SODOMY RAPE of a minor that took place on the seventh floor of that building back in January, 2006 when I was using the recording studios up there… I also reported this on the Internet and I reported this incident to 311 emergency reporting system in New York City. TO THE BEAT recording studios and all the other music producers up on the seventh floor of the Film Center Building in New York City knew about this situation but did nothing. They advocate the sexual abuse and exploitation of underage kids (and also the sexual exploitation and abuse of women who are aged 18 to 25) up on that seventh floor! They sell drugs out of the recording studios up there, and a company called PROGRESSIVE MUSIC, and a company called FOREVER MUSIC TRUST who operate as 501c not-for-profit corporations have seriously violated the 501c corp. laws…. I also reported this fact many months ago. I myself was subjected to aggravated sexual harassment by Mikey Martin the drummer for SHINY TOY GUNS, as well as from several other studio engineers/producers on the seventh floor of the Film Center Building in New York City back in December/January 2005/2006.

I also reported the fact that the recording studios down the suite 708 area of that building on the seventh floor (Film Center Building 9th Ave. between 44th/45th Streets in NYC) were operating illegally, and had illegal construction work on the seventh floor which posed a serious risk to peoples health and welfare, and I also reported the sexual abuse that was occuring – I reported all this information to the police in New York City back in February/March of 2006.

I WILL CONTINUE REPORTING ON SHNY TOY GUNS AND THEIR RECORD COMPANIES AND ALL THE PERSONS AFFILIATED WITH SHINY TOY GUNS, until each and every one of them are INDICTED for their criminal activity! The music industry in the USA needs to get a serious WAKE-UP CALL – and needs to start producing and outputting to America’s youth material that is appropriate!

I BELIEVE THAT THE ROOT OF MOST OF THE MAJOR PROBLEMS AFFLICTING YOUTH TODAY STEM FROM WHAT THESE RECORD COMPANIES ARE PRODUCING AND PROMOTING TO MINORS! The record companies seek out and sign to their labels people who are involved in criminal activity.

America’s record companies have a responsibility to the public to sign bands/performers to their labels who are not involved in criminal activity – these record companies DRIVE ARTISTS to engage in producing music that is geared at corrupting youth and causing problems in society, and they also attempt to target an underage demographic with music that is produced by PEDOPHILES, CRIMINALS, and persons who have inappropriate agendas with regards to MINORS.

THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO STEP IN HERE AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY! They are financing and promoting PERFORMERS and BANDS that should not be rewarded for their criminal and inappropriate actions… these record companies should be doing extensive background checks on anyone that they sign to their labels, and should be monitoring what these artists produce and promote through their labels, and if any sexual harassment of any kind has occured or any other criminal or inappropriate behaviour has occured by anyone signed to their labels then the contract with these performers/bands should be terminated!

Kids in the country need to be educated.. and taught that CRIME DOES NOT PAY, kids need to be taught basic MORALS, ETHICS, AND GOOD VALUES IN LIFE.. to be able to lead productive and happy lives… but if you have a music industry that applaudes and advocates bad behaviour and REWARDS IT… and seeks out performers who are involved in criminal or inappropriate behaviour… then this is sending the wrong message to youth in this country and the World.

THE MUSIC INDUSTRY NEEDS A MAJOR SHAKE-UP… WE NEED NEW LAWS IN PLACE… to regulate what is going on… because it is very clear that the music industry will not and cannot police itself! THIS IS A FACT…. I am writing a book called MUSIC PIMPS & POP TARTS, THE AMERICAN MUSIC INDUSTRY… and I will be featuring the band SHINY TOY GUNS in this book … in addition.. PAYOLA is still rampant in the music industry.. worse then ever!

WE NEED CHANGES NOW! I will be presenting all my evidence to the United States Attorney’s office soon… and believe me when I say that my mission for 2006/2007 is going to be focused on making sure that we see MAJOR REFORMS in the music industry on every level!

It is important to also NOTE that the organizer of the band SHINY TOY GUNS, Jeremy Dawson (who is also this bands synth player – along with the bands lead male singer/guitarist, Gregori Chad Petree) produced the music for GRAND THEFT AUTO III, along with some GAMING PROGRAMS for kids! And, the band SHINY TOY GUNS target their music to an under 18 age demographic. Their record companies are aware of the background that these men who are in their mid 30’s come from on a production level, yet they still finance and promote this band to under age kids!

AND, it is not just the music industry that are guilty of producing and promoting material to MINORS that is produced by people who are PEDOPHILES, and who inject subliminal messages denoting & promoting their sexual orientations, pedophilia, and other production content that is inappropriate to MINORS… THE TELEVISION PRODUCTION INDUSTRY, FILM INDUSTRY AND THE MULTIMEDIA INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE are involved in producing and distributing material that effects YOUTH in a negative manner.

SHINY TOY GUNS, have disguised their agendas in a very subliminal manner in their music that appears to be innocent… when in fact it is not, nor are the personalities of the members of this band innocent. They have very DARK and EVIL and UNHEALTHY AGENDAS with regards to MINORS.

THE ENTIRE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROBLEMS IN AMERICA TODAY, AND MAKE CHANGES HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY. IT IS GOING TO TAKE GOVERNMENT ACTION TO MAKE CHANGES HAPPEN, these industries are not about to DO THE RIGHT THING THEMSELVES… IN ORDER FOR CHANGE TO OCCUR IT IS GOING TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION ON THE PART OF THE GOVERNMENT TO ENFORCE NEW LAWS AND TO REGULATE WHAT AMERICAN YOUTH AND THE WORLD’S YOUTH ARE FED THROUGH TELEVISION PROGRAMMING, MUSIC, AND MULTIMEDIA.

I am in the process of formulating a MASTER PLAN OVERHAUL for the ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY along with new laws and guidelines and reforms at the FCC that would aid in making changes happen for the better. I will be presenting this MASTER PLAN soon to the appropriate authorities and I hope that ACTION will occur soon. There are major problems in the country with increased crime rates, pedophilia, rapes, violence towards women, and the list goes on and on… allot of the problems are attributable to the ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY… this is a FACT! They produce and promote inappropriate material to MINORS, and must be held fully responsible and made accountable for this criminal and destructive marketing.

ALSO: Back in December/January of 2005/2006 when I was using the recording studios over at the FILM CENTER BUILDING, SEVENTH FLOOR, ON 9TH AVENUE, BETWEEN 44TH & 45TH STREETS, IN NEW YORK CITY… down the area that is posted on the door as suite 708 – there are about 20 different little recording studios setup down that area that are ILLEGAL, they are not licensed by the city of New York to conduct business, and all these studios have ILLEGAL construction work with no regress for people in the event of a fire or other emergency, and these are sound proof enclosures in each studio, so if there were a fire or emergency in that area of the seventh floor – PEOPLE WOULD DIE! – it would be a major DISASTER!

These recording studios charge people allot of money to use the recording studios, then they steal peoples music and they also demand outrageous amounts of money (not the apreed upon rate that they had originally quoted and agreed upon with the client) from people after they have done the engineering work for people and threaten them that if they do not PAY UP then they will not get their music files that the clients had already paid for – in some instances with payments made in advance of session work done!

I ran into several kids up on the seventh floor of the Film Center Building in New York City, and out on the street in front of the building on 9th Avenue, between 44th & 45th Streets, that had this happen to them! The recording studio engineers/producers up there had SHAKEN DOWN, and RIPPED OFF these people, then they had the building security staff BAN THEM FROM THE BUILDING!

There were also several RAPES that occurred on the seventh floor of the Film Center Building of under age kids by the men working at these recording studios, and everyone on that floor -ADULTS- knew that these rapes had occurred but they did nothing to try and stop them from occurring while they were happening, and after the rapes happened – no action was taken against the men that were involved in these rapes, nor was any action taken to stop any future rapes of kids from happening.

When I complained to the owners/managers of the company that rents out space on that floor to these illegal recording studios – who are: PROGRESSIVE MUSIC and FOREVER MUSIC TRUST.. the owners of these companies told me to GET LOST… and stated to me.. THAT’S THE MUSIC BUSINESS…. and they also tried to then BAN ME FROM THE BUILDING… after I complained about the sexual abuse of underage kids and women on that floor by these music industry predators who work and operate out of the seventh floor of the Film Center Building in New York City.

One of the recording studios that I had been using up on that seventh floor called Black Starliner Studios, which was owned and operated by someone called RASTA, and someone called NINO – THIS NINO recording engineer… was involved sexually with a very young girl who was from Canada. I met this girl called KEIRA one day at the Black Starliner studio, she had been living/sleeping in the recording studio with NINO who is a white, Italian American male in his early 30’s – 5′7″ approx. 160 pounds, with a bald head – he had been involved sexually with this girl and had been doing some music recording with her and using her voice on some of the tracks (she needed allot more vocal development work – the tracks that I heard with her voice in them were not that good) NINO told me that he had found this young girl from Canada ‘Keira’ when a PIMP brought her to New York City (and that is what he called the man that had brought this young girl Keira to New York in a pick-up truck from Toronto, Canada) NINO told me that he had STABBED THE PIMP that had brought this young girl down to New York City to him (apparently he had had a dispute with the PIMP over payment for the girl.) Apparently these music engineers/producers on the seventh floor of the Film Center Building pay PIMPS in Canada and the USA to find young pretty girls and bring them to them to have sex and to see if they can EXPLOIT these girls SEXUALLY in music – it is sexual exploitation of girls/women for profit – physically and musically – COMPLETE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION FOR PROFIT! THEY ARE MUSIC PIMPS! Nino told me that he had met this young girl originally back when she was only 16 years old (that was when the pimp had brought her down from Canada to him in New York City) and NINO told me that he had befriended this girl’s mother (she came from a poor single parent home in Canada) and NINO told me that he had spent many nights on visits that he had made to Canada staying at this young girls home -and sleeping in the same bed that she sleeps in – with this girls mother in the house! He had apparently promised the girls mother and the girl that he would produce some music demos for her and try to MAKE HER A STAR! I believe that this Canadian girl Keira is now approx. 18 years old. NINO also told me that he had in December of 2005 purchased a TRUCK on a lease basis and given it to this girl in the USA so that she would have transportation… and apparently the girl had driven the truck to Florida to party with some of her friends… and there were some problems with the truck payments and other related problems with the vehicle lease…. because one day while I was using this recording studio NINO was on the phone with this girl, and very upset.. and he was telling her to get back to New York and that he was going to take the truck away from her.

THESE RECORDING STUDIO ENGINEERS AND MUSIC PRODUCERS – ARE ENGAGED IN SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH UNDERAGE KIDS (under the age of 18) AND YOUNG GIRLS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 TO 23 – WHO ARE USUALLY ALONE, PRETTY, AND HAVE MENTAL PROBLEMS AND ARE EASILY CONTROLLED AND MANIPULATED BY THESE MUSIC INDUSTRY PREDATORS… they seek to exploit these girls sexually for profit. THEY ARE MUSIC PIMPS!

WE NEED LAWS IN PLACE TO END “THE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN FOR PROFIT” — and we need these new laws NOW! The things that I saw going on over at the recording studios on the seventh floor at the Film Center Building on 9th Avenue between 44 & 45th streets in New York City .. were horrible and illegal, AND MUST BE STOPPED! Sad thing here is that miss nutcase is actually spot on.
Most people would agree down here in the 405, J.D. and his associates are loosersand not the nicest folk in this state to work with. Pop music in Oklahoma is defined here by bands that actually work, when spoiled kids come along, do all the tricks that we avoid to keep our integrity, and become household names, it stains our image.
Hanson and Color Me Bad is far better.
As for the new taste/fad of electroclash, J.D. has been a bandwagon jumper nearly his entire career (short one too) so it is no surprise that they decided to try and do it.
Being a sale out is ok, just dont try and call bullshit anything other than what it is, bullshit….like the faux british accent the singer trys to use.

Shiny Toy guns are awsome, Im a Fan, i like the music.
I dont get into the fact that these guys are corrupt, cos most of the scene is very,very underhanded anyways. Most people in the music biz get shafted at some point or other, it is very competitive and hard to make a decent buck, sell out whateva, who cares its about a life style of playing music.
Just go back stage to any metal show or hip hop show and see how you are treated???? If you dont want to get bit avoid the big bad wolf.

I’ve known both Chad and Jeremy for a very long time and I know beyond the shadow of any doubt that neither of these two guys are what you say. They both grew up in very warm, loving homes and have a very strong set of deeply rooted values. I also know Carah and Mikey fairly well (I went on tour with the band for awhile and you get to know everyone you’re with pretty easily in such close quarters). All four of them are extremely hard working people; they drive for hours and hours and hours, get to the club, do a soundcheck, have a meal, then play a show. When the show is over, they sign some autographs and talk to their fans, then load up and head to the next city. This is nearly every day of their lives and when they’re not on the road (VERY rare anymore), they go home for a couple of days. Chad is happily married and his wife goes nearly everywhere with them; Jeremy is the hardest working guy I know; Carah is an amazing person and works hard to be where she is; and Mikey is just absolutely incredible and a very grounded guy. I’m sorry you’re wasting so much time digging dirt and you should not believe everything you hear and read. Don’t get me wrong; i’m not calling them Saints. They have good days and bad days but they are absolutely NOT the people you think they are. They would never hurt anyone! They are my friends who i love dearly and I’m completely aphauled by your comments.

FYI: The 85,000 fans that have already bought the record can’t be wrong: “We Are Pilots” is a freaking great album! (check Soundscan for that stat)

These guys are amazing, and I like their use of short skirts in both versions of the video. I also like this thread, which proves that you should never argue with a crazy person.

I happen to know this because I am bi polar as well, though medication does a world of good for such things. You should look into that Dalena, and stop obsessing over mud slinging fellow musicians in an attempt to focus your manic energies. Try rhyming, it is fun and nice.

I’ve known and have talked to the band members and they for one aren’t even close to what this child had to say about them for one their hearts are pure as gold their words are motivating and their actions are sublime and don’t try to subside something when the facts are incorrect. I know personally I love this band to death but god only knows you cant obsesses or cling onto something that doesn’t belong to you, don’t try to attempt in glowing in their fame with your stupid and idiotic accusation and I for one highly doubt they allow a crack head person like you enter a studio wait do you know what a door looks like or is that hot head of yours expanding further and further in front of your eyes.
And on behalf of all the shiny toy guns TRUE fans in here ill say hi to them from you all next Thursday when I meet up with them for star bucks
