Pinky Tuscadero

1) Why haven’t I seen Pinky Tuscadero on every single music blog? What is wrong with you people? Even Hype Machine is empty.
2) Pinky Tuscadero sounds something like The B-52’s mixed with early Sleater-Kinney with a little bit of Fever To Tell YYYs… and dare I say showtunes? But like showtunes in a good way. I swear.
3) Ok, to be fair: Pinky Tuscadero’s Look Your Best is a tad uneven. “Frank Sinatra” and “Priscilla” are the standouts. I want to hear a whole album of material like that. The rest is of the ep is a little… unexpected. Not in a bad way, but the band’s sound isn’t fully realized yet. It is an ep though and does the trick: I can’t wait to hear a full length.

4) The above photo is taken by the very talented Daniel Boud. More of Dan’s photos of Pinky Tuscadero can be viewed here, here and here.
5) Pinky Tuscadero released their five song debut EP back in June. Which is fucking fantastic. You can purchase it from
iTunes, Amazon or eMusic.
6) Pinky Tuscadero was of course Fonzie’s girlfriend on Happy Days.
7) I’m not even going to mention they’re from Australia… I feel like that is all I ever write. “Hey this band is from Australia.” Whatever. You guys have better music. I’m over it.

Yeah…Son bastante rifados, exelente son…
Felicidades por el blog.
From México.

I think we ought to grant you honourary Australian citizenship or something.
Great to see you picking up on Pinky T. They’re a lovely bunch.

they should’ve done more research, there already was a Tuscadero band. I believe signed to Teen Beat/ Elektra back in the day.
