Bedtime For Toys

Have I been living under a rock? Does like everyone already know and love Bedtime For Toys?… because there is like no way these kids aren’t huge. Or there is no reason they shouldn’t be. I guess being remixed by Le Tigre and working with Har Mar isn’t bad for the resume.
Crazy hybrid, genre bending… blah, blah, blah. “Mona Lisa Part Two” is the perfect summer jam, and not only because they used the Tom Tom Club’s “Genius of Love.” Bedtime For Toys feels like something Gwen Stefani would be doing if she was actually interesting.

Well, i’ve never heard of them if that is any consolation. I have to admit that I do like the name though. If they were really young and using their age as a tool, I might think the name was just a promotional maneuver, but it’s not so.

I don’t know why everyone DOESN’T know and love Bedtime for Toys. There is no acceptable reason.

Wow. Chandler kind of reminds me of a Midnight Brown song. Lots of filtered vocals and stuff.

Good call on the BFT. I did a review of them last August and the band has just continued to put out good stuff in the year since. Keep up the great posts.

I saw them openning for the Moving Units. They put on a great lively set but the music is pretty cheesy. I swear i heard 80’s lazer one shot.
